BJ

19th January 2022

We have to go in and say goodbye to BJ this morning. He is in septic shock – most likely caused by a ruptured abscess on his liver. We’ve struggled to get on top of his health issues for the last two years – he’s had so many blood tests, X-rays, ultrasounds, medications and supplements and lived with a bloomin’ great cone on his head for many months.
I wish his life the past months had been happier and less fraught – but I guess at least now – he’ll finally stop itching.
This is one of my favourite photos of our BJ Bear – draped over the back seat- shows how special he is – Pa’s boy and lover of ras’bry jam on toast. Rest easy and itch free Banjo Jake. We love you.
