Oscar was adopted 2 1/2 years ago and certainly landed on all 4 paws. His Mum sent us the following update: Just wanted to send you an email to fill you in on how young (at heart) Oscar is going.

It’s been nearly 2 1/2 years since we first adopted him from Hope Springs, and he has been such a delight to have as a member of our family. I still can’t believe we were the ones lucky enough to adopt him.

Initially we walked regularly down to the beach and back (50 mins), but he has definitely slowed down in the past 5 months, and 20 mins is often enough for him these days!

He just loves travelling with us in the car and caravan, and did a lap of Australia with us last year. He was a brilliant traveller, and loved walks, cafes and sticky-beaking on everyone in the caravan park! He even accompanied us on a degustation dinner in Margaret River, and watched in fascination as the truffles were shaved over our entree from his own chair at the table! We are shortly to head off again, for a month touring NSW and lower Queensland.

He follows me everywhere, and loves to be involved in everything, whether gardening, sewing or cooking. And Bunnings is his favourite place, after the dog park of course.
He gained a new ‘niece’ at the end of 2022, and whilst her enthusiasm and energy can sometimes be a bit much, he loves his little pal.

Despite some age related health issues, he is still spritely and involved in our family life, and we love him to pieces. We knew when we adopted him as a senior dog we wouldn’t have him for a long time, but it really is living up to being fabulous a time!

With best wishes,

Surprised and delighted

https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=MjVPR2DQye4Recently we were surprised when Destination Happiness (a lifestyle television show on Channel 9) came out to visit and film a segment for Happy Pets at Hope Springs.

We were even more surprised when Petstock presented us with a cheque for $15,000 for our Pay it Paw-ward Program – helping us to “Keep pets and people together”.

We are very grateful for Pet-Stocks support of local communities and small charities making a direct difference to the wellbeing of their local community. Click here to see the segment.
